3 Devotionals for Young Women

There's a menagerie of devotionals out there, especially for children and teens. You don't want to waste your time reading the alright ones; you want the best. When I say best, I mean one that's godly, yet practical, as well as engaging. That's hard to find. Below are some that work for teen girls and young women.

~ Before You Meet Prince Charming by Sarah Mally
Sarah Mally does a wonderful job covering the bases on dating, waiting for the right one, staying pure while dating, and not wasting the single years moping because Mr. Perfect hasn't rode up. In a humorous, practical, big sisterly way, she warns about the modern dating system while points out a better way, gives tips on how to handle interested young men, and how to cultivate a relationship with Christ, the only One who can give us true love.

~ Secret Keeper by Dannah Gresh
Does modesty really matter? Does the way women dress do anything to the men around us? Dannah Gresh provides the answer and encourages young women not to fall for the world's lies about dress. She shows how the clothes and styles of the day might not be the best and why it can be a stumbling block for others.

~ Journeys of Faithfulness by Sarah Clarkson
Four young women from the Bible are held up to us for their faithfulness, courage, and devotion to God. Ruth, Esther, Mary the mother of Jesus, and Mary of Bethany, all had their share of tough circumstances, some more than others, but they struggled through and stayed faithful to God. Retold as a story, with further scriptures and questions at the end of each chapter.
