Today I'm reviewing Blind Spot, the third book in Dani Pettrey's Chesapeake Valor series. Those who enjoyed Cold Shot and Still Life will also love Blind Spot, since it contains characters from pervious books, as well as the elements that have made the series so addicting.
Plot Summary
Declan Grey is bent on uncovering a terrorist plot a suicide bomber hinted at right before his death. With the help of Tanner Shaw, a woman who intrigues him more each time he sees her, he investigates the clues left behind by a deceased agent. Not only did this agent have information about the man calling the shots, but he also investigated cases similar to a cold case that's near and dear to Declan's friends. As Declan and Tanner wade deeper into the case, they are unaware of the enormity of the plan in motion and of the destruction it could wreak if they don't stop it.
Content Warning
Nothing. While there's the typical crime elements, there's no other content.
Personal Thoughts
Declan and Tanner's potential has been brewing for the past two books and I love the sparks they generate - both the good and the bad. At first they clash because Declan is overprotective and she is more than capable of taking care of herself. Once he realizes that, they start getting along. I liked that the couples from previous books are actively present; Griffin and Finley are such a cute married couple, while Parker and Avery make a great team.
The side plots were interesting, especially the cold case part. Also, we finally get more information about Luke! I was going crazy trying to figure out what was going on with him and I finally have my answers.

Notes
Best for teens and adults.
