Last week I reviewed the first book in Lynn H. Blackburn's Gossamer Falls series, Never Fall Again. Today I will be reviewing the second book, Break My Fall, which is as suspenseful, charming, and entertaining as the first book. If you enjoyed Never Fall Again, you will love Break My Fall!
Plot Summary
One of Dr. Meredith Quinn's joys is bringing her mobile dentist clinic to the rural parts of her area. Unfortunately, drug traffickers are known to live in those areas and Police Chief Grayson Ward insists that he goes with her every time to ensure her safety. However, this force of nature who has a grip on his affections has heard and seen things that could get her in trouble - big trouble. And when someone takes action to make sure she never tells anybody, it's up to Gray to keep Meredith safe. If only he can do so without risking his heart ....
Pros and Cons
Much like the first book, this book is clean with a subtle message. All of our favorite characters are back and we get to see a little of Cal, Landry, and Eliza. Again, another book that I will certainly read again!
Personal Thoughts
This book was so good! Meredith is such a character, usually so sweet and thoughtful. But when she's mad, she's MAD. I'll admit, I enjoyed seeing her feisty side. And Gray was such a sweetheart, even though he screwed up a time or two. Unlike most books, they had an argument more towards the middle of the book instead of at the end. Then they had to work things out for the rest of story. I liked the switch-up so much! While the suspense was perfect, I really enjoyed the romance and have re-read several scenes because they were so good!

Notes
This book is best for teens and adults. There is also a novella that comes before this book which tells Cassie and Donovan's story. You can find it in the novella collection Cornered and the story is titled Downfall.
For those of you who have read Break My Fall, what did you think of it? For those of you who have not read it, would you? Tell me in the comments below!

I really liked the first book, but I loved this one! The characters were great and had such personality! I loved that we got to catch up with Cal, Landry, and Eliza. I also loved the order of events with Meredith and Gray's relationship.
