Be aware that there is a significant difference between the reviews and recommendations on this blog. Just because I review a book, TV show, or movie does not mean I recommend it. I am simply analyzing the work and giving my honest opinion of it, as well as providing key points such as the plot summary, age appropriateness (if the reader should choose to read or watch it), and anything else that's noteworthy.
What's not to love about a suspense novel with sweet romance, southern charm, and memorable characters? Never Fall Again by Lynn H. Blackburn features all this and more. If you're looking for a gripping plot and tender romance, then look no further!
Plot Summary
Landry Hutton believes she's finally safe from her deceased husband's family and free to build a permanent life in Gossamer Falls with her daughter, Eliza. The same day she meets with Callum Shaw to discuss plan for her new house, a fire destroys a gift shop at the resort she works at and a note points to her being the target.
When it becomes evident Landry and Eliza are in danger, Cal takes it upon himself to protect them. He and Landry agree to be friends, since neither of them are looking for romance, but as the situation escalates, both of them realizes being friends won't be enough. But whoever is targeting Landry doesn't like their new relationship and decides to take matters into his own hands. Cal must race to rescue his girls before he looses them forever.

Pros and Cons
This book is totally clean. The plot is fast-paced and engrossing. The romance between Cal and Landry is sweet and the faith element in the story wasn't preachy. Overall, it was well-developed and worth reading over and over again.
Personal Thoughts
I could not put this book down! Cal and Landry sucked me in from the start. It was obvious from the start their "friendship" wasn't going to stay platonic and I chuckled to myself as they navigated that. Another adorable part was Cal and Eliza bonding. That girl had him wrapped around her little finger in a heartbeat.
The suspense was well done and I didn't know what was going to happen next. Several plot twists kept me guessing and I was on the edge of my seat during the last quarter of the book.
I also enjoyed the side characters; they added a lot of fun to the story. Especially Cal's family, they're a hoot.
